The Municipality of Geroskipou invites tenders for the Supply of Staff Uniforms for the Municipality of Geroskipou for 2026.

Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Mayor of Geroskipou, and placed in the Municipality’s Tender Box no later than Friday 05/06/2026 at 12.00 noon. The envelope should bear the phrase “TENDER FOR STAFF WORK UNIFORMS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF GEROSKIPOU FOR 2026”.

Installation of Cardboard Balers at Hotel Units & Tourist Businesses of the Municipality of Geroskipou

As part of the Cohesion Policy programme “THALEIA” 2021-2027 and the Department of Environment’s programme “Reduction of municipal solid waste from coastal hotel units and related waste-producing sites in the districts of Limassol and Paphos”, the first six (6) cardboard balers were installed in Geroskipou on 13 May 2026.

Within the coming days, a further ten (10) cardboard balers are expected to be installed, with the aim of reducing the volume of cardboard waste that ends up in landfill and increasing the recycling of this material, while also improving the appearance of the Geroskipou seafront.

Agreement for the execution of phase B of the project “Redevelopment and Landscaping of the Coastal Promenade and the Public Spaces of the Geroskipou Coastal Area”

On 13 May 2026, an agreement was signed between the Mayor of Geroskipou, Nikos Palios, and Mr Sokratis Themistokleous, on behalf of Panath Construction Ltd, for the execution of phase B of the project “Redevelopment and Landscaping of the Coastal Promenade and the Public Spaces of the Geroskipou Coastal Area”.

 

The project includes the regeneration of the promenade from the Phaethon hotel to the Athena Royal hotel, as well as of the perpendicular promenade on the boundary between the Municipalities of Paphos and Geroskipou.

 

The total contract amount, €1.081,545 plus VAT, is co-financed by the THALEIA 2021 – 2027 cohesion policy programme. The implementation period of the project is set at seven (7) months from its start date.

On 13 May 2026, the Municipality of Geroskipou hosted the “Coffee with Love” event of PASYKAF, offering tangible support to the important work of the Association.

The event featured an informative talk by Dr Christina Glyky and was held with the support of the Constantinou Bros Hotels group, which provided the Royal Hall of the Athena Royal Beach Hotel.

Installation of New Bus Stops and Shelters in the Municipality of Geroskipou

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, through the Department of Public Works, is implementing a Cyprus-wide programme to upgrade public transport infrastructure by installing new bus stops and shelters, as part of the strategy for sustainable mobility and increased use of public transport.

The Municipality of Geroskipou is taking part in this programme, and the first new stops and shelters have already begun to be installed at the Geroskipou Municipal Beach (Germaninas Street) and in the tourist area (Aphrodite Goddess Avenue), to serve the travelling public.

The project is co-financed by the “THALEIA 2021-2027” Cohesion Policy Programme and the European Regional Development Fund, with the aim of improving the passenger experience, increasing the use of public transport and reducing the environmental impact of travel.

TENDER NOTICE No. 53/2026 TENDER FOR THE GRANT OF A LICENCE TO USE THE MUNICIPAL COFFEE SHOP LOCATED IN THE TIMI MUNICIPAL DISTRICT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF GEROSKIPOU

The Municipality of Geroskipou is accepting tenders for the grant of a licence to use the municipal coffee shop located in the Timi Municipal District in the Municipality of Geroskipou, for a period of two (2) years.

Tender Notice No. 46/2026 «Procurement of Fee Collector – Cleaner Services at the Beaches of the Municipality of Geroskipou»

The Municipality of Geroskipou invites expressions of interest for the procurement of fee collector – cleaner services at the Beaches of the Municipality of Geroskipou.

Submission of Tenders:

Interested parties may obtain the terms of the tender from the Municipality’s Records Office during working hours or from the Municipality’s website Notice No. 46/2026

Tenders must fully comply with the terms set out in the Tender Documents.

Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope in the Municipality’s Tender Box, marked «Procurement of Fee Collector – Cleaner Services at the Beaches of the Municipality of Geroskipou», no later than Wednesday 20 May 2026 at 12:00 noon.

 

Agreement for the Provision of Internal Audit Services to the Municipality of Geroskipou

An agreement for the provision of internal audit services to the Municipality of Geroskipou was signed today, 6 May 2026, between the Municipality of Geroskipou, represented by Mayor Nikos Palios, and the company AMBRUS International Consulting P.C., with the aim of strengthening oversight, improving procedures and monitoring the Municipality’s activities.

With this agreement, the Municipality of Geroskipou is implementing the provisions of Article 109 of the Municipalities Law, concerning the obligation to establish an Internal Audit Unit.

 

New Mechanical Street Sweeper for the Municipality of Geroskipou

The Municipality of Geroskipou today, 23/4, took delivery of a new state-of-the-art street sweeper, a MERCEDES – BUCHER V65, with the aim of strengthening cleaning services across all of its municipal districts.

The sweeper, valued at €228,000.00 plus VAT, is environmentally friendly, as its operation produces no noise pollution and requires no large quantities of fuel or water. At the same time, it does not release dust particles into the atmosphere, thanks to the advanced suction systems with which it is equipped. It features state-of-the-art safety systems, making its use completely safe for the Municipality’s workforce.

The Municipality of Geroskipou will continue to equip its services with modern technical infrastructure to make them more effective and efficient.
