Finance Department

The Finance Department of the Municipality is responsible for the proper financial management and effective control of the Municipality’s financial resources, ensuring transparency, legality, and the proper functioning of all financial procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and monitors budgets
  • Controls and executes expenditures
  • Manages municipal revenues and processes payments
  • Monitors cash flow
  • Prepares financial statements
  • Manages the Municipality’s bank accounts and investments
  • Cooperates with external auditors and government authorities
  • Collects business licenses, refuse collection fees, dog ownership fees, business premises licenses, municipal property taxes, and other municipal charges
  • Monitors and controls the finances of projects and EU co-financed programmes
