Social Services

Social Services / Social Worker

The Municipality’s Social Services provide support to residents and contribute to addressing social issues, aiming to improve quality of life and strengthen social cohesion.

“Neighbourhood Social Worker” Programme

The Ierokipia Municipality participates in the “Neighbourhood Social Worker” programme, aiming to enhance community-based social support services.

The Social Worker acts as a key point of contact for residents, providing free social services and immediate support for everyday social needs.

The Neighbourhood Social Worker is the person residents can turn to when they face difficulties in their daily lives, such as financial challenges, family conflicts, or psychological pressure.

They act as a first point of contact for support and guidance, helping individuals and families better understand their situation and find practical solutions.

At the same time, the Social Worker identifies community needs, collaborates with other services and organisations, and, where necessary, refers residents to specialised support. Emphasis is placed on supporting vulnerable groups and informing residents about the social services available to them.
