The Geroskipou seafront: an enticing destination!

With the aim of enhancing the quality and appearance of the Geroskipou seafront, as well as providing facilities to improve accessibility for people with mobility difficulties, the Municipality of Geroskipou continues to carry out projects and initiatives, proving once again that Geroskipou is an enticing summer destination for both locals and visitors from abroad.

As part of the effort to upgrade the seafront’s amenities, modern sanitary facilities were recently completed near the area’s three Snack Bars, and street lighting was reinforced, while within the coming days the tender process for the supply and installation of exercise equipment along the beach will be concluded.

Specifically, 22 pieces of exercise equipment suitable for outdoor use and a seaside environment are expected to be installed at four different points along the beach, allowing visitors to now enjoy a complete experience on the shores of Geroskipou.

In addition, with particular sensitivity towards people with disabilities, the Municipality of Geroskipou, through projects and interventions, aims to improve their daily lives by creating a more welcoming environment for all.

To this end, it is ensuring equal access to the sea and the area’s seafront by carrying out projects that improve accessibility to the beaches for people with disabilities.

At the same time, it is harnessing the development potential of the area’s seafront on terms of sustainability and social justice, thereby contributing to the development of tourism for people with disabilities in the Municipality’s seaside area.
