Results of the written examination for filling the vacant permanent position of Assistant Secretarial Officer. The Municipality of Geroskipou announces the results of the said written examination held on 04.11.2023, in order of the candidates’ success who sat it:
“Successful candidate” means a person who takes part in the written examination and achieves an overall general average score of at least 50% and at least 40% in each of the subjects included in the examination.
It is noted that, under the framework for filling the position, the candidates who have passed the written examination will be called to the oral examination, provided and once it is confirmed that they meet the required qualifications and conditions for appointment, in a number three times the number of the vacant position to be filled.

“PROCUREMENT OF SERVICES OF A SCIENTIFIC ASSOCIATE FOR THE M.P.T.”

The Municipality of Geroskipou invites expressions of interest for the procurement of the services of specialised scientific personnel – a Scientific Associate under a contract for services, in order to staff the Geroskipou Municipal Prevention Team (M.P.T.).
The professional will work flexible weekly hours totalling 20 working hours, depending on the needs that arise.
The qualifications required of the professional for this Contract are:
1. A Higher Education Degree in Psychology or Social Work
2. Registration with the Register of Registered Psychologists or with the Register of the Council for the Registration of Social Work Professionals of Cyprus
3. A valid Licence to Practise the Profession
4. Proven experience of 3 years relevant to prevention, substance dependence and community work

Filling of a Vacant Permanent Position of Assistant Clerical Officer

  1. The Municipality of Geroskipou is accepting applications for the filling of the vacant permanent position of Assistant Clerical Officer.
  2. A written and an oral examination will be held to fill the position.
  3. The approved salary scale for the position is A2-A5-A7(II). Any general increases approved by legislation are added to the salary. In addition, a cost-of-living allowance is paid in accordance with the rate approved by the Government from time to time.
  4. Under the terms of approval of the Municipality of Geroskipou’s Budget by the Ministers of the Interior and of Finance, the entry scales for new recruits will be reduced by 10% of the initial gross salary of the position. Upon completion of 24 months of service, employees will be placed on the first step of the salary scale of the position, as defined in the relevant Scheme of Service.
  5. The duties and responsibilities, as well as the required qualifications for the position, are set out in the Scheme of Service of the position, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic under no. 4399 and dated 01/09/2023 (Eighth Appendix – Schemes of Service).
  6.   8. Upon submission of the application, applicants must pay an examination fee of €30.00 including VAT. Please note that the examination fee is non-refundable. Proof of payment must be attached to the application submitted. Applications not accompanied by proof of payment will not be accepted.

RECRUITMENT OF FOUR (4) SEASONAL GENERAL DUTIES LABOURERS


The Municipality of Geroskipou is accepting applications to fill four (4) positions of hourly-paid “General Duties Labourers” (Scale E5) for an employment period of six (6) months.
DOCUMENTS TO ACCOMPANY THE APPLICATION:
1. A copy of a “Clean Criminal Record” certificate from the Police.
2. A copy of a Birth Certificate or Identity Card.
3. A copy of a Military Discharge Certificate.
4. A Health Certificate from a Medical Officer, certifying that the applicant is able to perform manual work and work involving the use of machinery without any problem.

COLLECTION – SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Interested parties may obtain the application forms from the Registry of the Municipality of Geroskipou during working days and hours, or from the Municipality’s official website www.geroskipou.org.cy.
Applications must be submitted, signed, to the Registry of the Municipality of Geroskipou by Monday 18 September 2023 at 2:30 p.m., in sealed envelopes marked with the phrase “Application for the recruitment of general duties labourers”.
