Open Call for Expressions of Interest for the Allocation of a Christmas Kiosk:
A) General Information:
The Municipality of Geroskipou issues an open call for expressions of interest for the allocation of eight (8) kiosks measuring 3 x 2 for the offering/sale of food, sweets, drinks, crafts, local products or other related products, whether Christmas-themed or not. The Christmas Village will operate in the central square of the Municipality of Geroskipou (in front of the Municipal Hall), and the venue will feature artistic and other activities, as well as games for young and old alike.

The price for renting/using the kiosks amounts to 300 euros plus VAT for the entire duration of the event.
Interested parties must submit their applications in writing by email to: info@vasiamezou.com by Wednesday 6.12.23 and no later than 12:00.
The email should bear the subject line “Kiosks – Municipality of Geroskipou” and include the bidder’s details, the item or items they wish to offer, and any indicative photographs of their products.
A strict order of priority will be observed, along with checks to ensure compliance with all health and other requirements. The use of the kiosks will not be granted to companies/individuals offering food that requires professional equipment, deep-frying, etc. Those interested in offering such products may submit a proposal for mobile canteens.

B) Terms of Use for the Kiosks:
Those granted the right to use a kiosk are required to meet the following:
- Employers must comply with the Safety and Health at Work Laws of 1996 to 2020.
- They must keep the kiosk open for all days and hours of operation of the Christmas Village. Otherwise, the Municipality and the organisers reserve the right to withdraw the right of use following a warning and to grant it to another interested party.
- They must have a sufficient number of staff to serve the public.
- They must display in the kiosk a list of their products, together with prices, which will be subject to approval.
- They must keep the kiosk and its surrounding area clean.
- No installation of any kind, whether inside or outside the kiosk, is permitted without the organisers’ approval.
- They must return the kiosk in the condition in which they received it, without any damage or deterioration.
- They must cooperate with the Officer responsible for the safety and health of the event whenever required.
- They must have at least one fire blanket and one 6kg ABC Dry Powder fire extinguisher (premises where frying oil is used must have WET CHEMICAL type fire extinguishers).
- Every employer or self-employed person must hold valid employer’s liability insurance covering the actual number of their employees.
- Each power strip must have only one heat-producing appliance connected to it.
- If LPG is required, only domestic LPG is acceptable, and each premises may have a maximum of two (2) domestic LPG cylinders.
- LPG cylinders must be kept ONLY outdoors and stored away when not in use.
- The supply line, regulator and hose of the LPG installation must be new or in good condition.
- Damaged cables and broken sockets must be replaced immediately.
- They must use special gloves when carrying out work that produces heat.
- They must hold all the necessary health certificates and apply them in accordance with the food hygiene requirements set out in Chapters III, IV and VIII of Annex II of Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 (Health Authority licence for the handling/preparation/sale of food).
- They must ensure that every person handling open food holds a valid Health Certificate for food handlers (Food Handler Health Certificate), issued every twelve months by a Chief Medical Officer, as required by the Food Hygiene and Official Food Control Regulations of 2006.
- They must ensure that they hold a licence to sell alcoholic beverages.
C) Application Contents:
- Duly completed and signed FORM 1.
- A copy of the above-mentioned certificates (Food Handler Health Certificate – Health Authority licence for the handling/preparation/sale of food).
- A list/price list of the products, with descriptions and photographs.
