The Municipality of Geroskipou invites tenders for the pruning or removal of palm trees, as well as the pruning of yuccas, located on public pavements or green spaces, including the removal and disposal of the material at an approved site.

A price is to be quoted for each palm tree, yucca or other tree pruned/removed, including the loading, removal and disposal of the foliage at an approved site. Tenderers should visit the site and take into account all the factors that will affect the work, as well as the following:

1. The removed prunings shall be deposited at an approved site.

2. The work shall be carried out in such a way that the comfort and safety of nearby residents are not affected.

3. The count shall be taken and supervised by an authorised officer of the Municipality.

4. Under the Minimum Safety and Health Requirements (Use of Work Equipment at Work) Regulations of 2001 (K.D.P. 444/2001), Annex 11, employees must be provided with appropriate information and instructions for use, be adequately trained (relevant and/or specialised training) in the use of the equipment, and be granted the right to consultation and participation in the matters covered by the Regulations. A training certificate is to be attached, if available. Specifically for the use of work equipment for lifting loads/persons, the Regulations of 2001 (K.D.P. 444/2001), page 4715, subsection 3, are attached.

5. The works must begin within 3 days of the date the tender is awarded and be completed within 15 working days.

Tenders must reach the Municipality no later than Friday, 29 September 2023, at 12:00 noon.

Tenders are to be completed on the tender form and submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor of Geroskipou.

The envelope should bear the wording <<TENDER NO. 43/2023>>.

The criterion on which the Municipality will award the tender is the most economically advantageous offer.
