Clearing of Plots and Vacant Premises in the Municipality of Eastern Paphos.

As part of its efforts to safeguard public health and maintain the good appearance of its administrative area, the Municipality of Eastern Paphos calls on the owners of open private spaces/plots and vacant premises located within its municipal boundaries to see to their cleaning by 15 September 2024.

Specifically, the open private spaces/plots must be cleared and rid not only of wild vegetation and rubbish, but also of other waste materials and objects.

In addition, we inform owners that all waste arising from the clearing must be taken to appropriate waste management facilities or to the Koloni “Green Point” (open daily 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. and Saturday 8.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.), where various types of household waste are accepted free of charge.

It is stressed that, otherwise, in order to address cases causing nuisance or unsightliness and to restore residents’ comfort, the Municipality will proceed to clear them and rid them of wild vegetation, rubbish, waste materials and objects, charging the owners of the plots – which will be cleared by the Municipality’s special crews – the corresponding fee.

For each plot, the minimum charge corresponds to the sum of €80.00. Charges for vacant premises are calculated according to the labour hours and the volume of refuse involved.

It is noted that responsibility for the cleaning rests solely with the owner of the plot, even if waste materials have been placed/dumped there by third parties.

The Municipality of Eastern Paphos seeks the public’s cooperation, as improving the image of our town and raising living standards is a matter and a responsibility for us all.

For any information, those interested may call the Health and Cleaning Department (26 960 863) or the Citizens’ Service Office (77 77 86 60).
