Chinese businessman Henry-Alexandros Jiang, continuing his philanthropic contribution amid pandemic conditions, today, 3/12, donated one thousand (1,000) face protection masks to the Municipality of Geroskipou.
The Mayor of Geroskipou, Michalis Pavlides, thanked Alexandros for his contribution, which supports the collective effort to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
The Municipality of Geroskipou was represented on 1st December 2020 at an event held at the 11th Primary School of Paphos on reducing plastic, as part of the school’s cooperation with the non-governmental organisation “Akti”.
As part of the event, the Mayor of Geroskipou Michalis Pavlides presented an award to a fourth-grade pupil, Lefkos Pasios, for his initiative in collecting a large quantity of bottle caps.
The Municipality of Geroskipou, as part of its social contribution and with the primary aim of providing tangible support to students, is offering a number of scholarships and grants for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Ministry of Health, in cooperation with the company Mediwell and the Municipality of Geroskipou, will offer completely free rapid coronavirus tests for the residents of Geroskipou.
Tomorrow, Thursday 19/11 and Friday 20/11, a sampling team will be at the Sculpture Park, from 09.00 until 16:00.

THE MUNICIPALITY OF GEROSKIPOU and the AKTI CENTRE FOR STUDIES AND RESEARCH (represented by Anna Tselepou), continuing their environmental activities, recently proceeded to empty and record the recyclable materials that had been placed inside the artwork fish located on Geroskipou Public Beach.
The following quantities of materials were recorded in detail and transported to the Koloni Green Point:
50 kilos of plastic
70 kilos of paper and
200 kilos of aluminium
We are continuing our effort to promote recycling as well as to reduce the waste that ends up in our coastal and marine environment.
