1. The Municipality of Ierokipia is accepting applications for the filling of one (1) position of Refuse Collection Worker, on salary scale E6-E7.

2. Interested parties must submit an application by completing the special form, which they can obtain from the official website of the Municipality of Ierokipia https://ierokipia.org.cy/ and from the Municipal Records Office during working days and hours.

3. The application must be accompanied by the following certificates/documents:

• Copy of School Leaving Certificate
• Copy of Birth Certificate or identity card
• Copy of a Clean Criminal Record Certificate

• Copy of a Health Certificate from a public or private hospital.

The Municipality of Geroskipou and the Church Committee of the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi invite you to the Ceremony of the Immersion of the Holy Cross and the Blessing of the Waters, on the occasion of the celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, on Tuesday 6 January 2026 at 10.30 a.m., at the Geroskipou Municipal Beach (Boat Ramp).

Refreshments will follow at the Luna Park of Geroskipou Beach.

For the convenience of the faithful, transport to the ceremony venue (round trip) will be provided by a bus arranged by the Municipality of Geroskipou immediately after the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy of the Epiphany (departure from Geroskipou Square).

In addition, in the Timi Municipal District, following the Great Blessing at the Holy Church of Agia Irini, a Ceremony of the Immersion of the Holy Cross will take place at the Municipal Park, together with refreshments for the faithful.

On 30 December 2025, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Ierokipia and the company Kakais Construction Ltd for the reconstruction of pavements in the municipal districts of the Municipality of Ierokipia.

The value of the contract amounts to €310,299 plus VAT.

As part of its social policy and its tangible support for the vulnerable families of the municipal area, the Municipality of Geroskipou has provided vouchers for the purchase of clothing to 180 children attending nine (9) schools (in Geroskipou, Konia and Timi).

The vouchers were handed over today, 22 December 2025, at the Geroskipou Municipal Hall, by Mayor Nikos Palios and the Chairman of the Committee for Social Welfare, Social Cohesion and Citizen Protection, Giorgos Leonidas, to the Head Teachers or representatives of the school units.

The Municipality of Geroskipou, particularly during the festive season, will continue to care for the vulnerable groups within its community and to support those of our fellow citizens who are in need.

On 18 December 2025, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Geroskipou and the company Cyfield Asphalt Co Ltd for the general and partial resurfacing of roads in the municipal districts of the Municipality of Geroskipou.
