Important announcement for the residents of Geroskipou

Further to previous announcements, and as part of the effort to address the growing spread of the coronavirus and to safeguard public health, we wish to inform the residents of Geroskipou of the following:

  1. In-person visits to the Geroskipou Town Hall are not permitted until 30/4/20. For urgent matters, the public is kindly asked to call 26 962 324 and 7777 86 60.
  2. The Municipality’s Finance Department, and by extension its cash offices, will remain closed until 30/4/20. Payments can be made online, through the Municipality’s website and through the website www.jccsmart.com. With regard to the payment of fees and taxes, the payment deadline is extended until 30/4/20. During this period, the Municipality will not disconnect water supply for unpaid bills.
  3. The operation of the Multipurpose Children’s Care Centre, the Adult Centre, the “Iris” Counselling Centre, the Municipal Prevention Team (D.O.P.), the “Petrideio” Municipal Library, the Michalis Chr. Kyprianou Municipal Stadium, the Tassos Papadopoulos Olympic Swimming Pool and the “Ch. Zoppos” Open-Air Sports Ground is suspended until 30/4/20.
  4. The holding of civil weddings is suspended until 30/4/20.
  5. All scheduled events of the Municipality of Geroskipou are postponed until 30/4/20.
  6. We recommend avoiding the use of the municipal playgrounds.
  7. All essential services of the Municipality of Geroskipou continue to operate normally.

The above measures are in line with the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the relevant guidelines of the competent Ministries, and their aim is to protect both residents and the Municipality’s employees. The measures may be adjusted depending on developments and/or on the guidelines issued by the state.

The Municipality of Geroskipou asks for the understanding of its residents regarding the measures it is obliged to take due to the state of emergency our country is facing.

We urge our fellow residents to remain calm and to observe the preventive measures that have been announced for the protection of themselves and their families.
