Opening Lecture of the 16^th Cycle

The “Ierokipeion Free University in Paphos”, jointly organised by the Municipality of Geroskipou, the University of Cyprus, and Radio Paphos, opens its doors for the 16^th cycle of lectures. A dynamic and engaging cycle of lectures invites the residents of Paphos of all ages to a fruitful dialogue on the pressing issues facing our society today.

The opening lecture will be delivered on Friday 25 October 2019 at 7:00 p.m., in the Events Hall of the Geroskipou Multipurpose Centre, by the Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Cyprus, Mr Konstantinos Pitris, who will develop the topic, “Implants of electronic systems and cells for ‘Precision Medicine’ against brain cancer”.

The lectures of the “Ierokipeion Free University” are open to the public and are broadcast live by Radio Paphos across Cyprus at 93.7 and recorded by the University of Cyprus radio station UCYvoice 95.2. At the end of the presentations, the audience, as well as the listeners of Radio Paphos across Cyprus, can actively participate in the discussion that follows.
