EXTENSION OF THE PAYMENT DEADLINE FOR TAXES AND FEES – USEFUL INFORMATION

 

 

  • The Municipality of Geroskipou informs the public that invoices have been sent for the Refuse Fee, the Professional Premises Licence, the Professional Tax, Water Supply Fees, Immovable Property Fee and Plot Clearances.

 

  • Those who did not receive invoices for the above taxes and fees are urged to contact the Municipality’s offices to settle their obligations.

 

  • The invoices relating to the charge for the PROFESSIONAL PREMISES LICENCE do not constitute a certificate of issuance of the “Professional Premises Licence”, and the managers of the premises are called upon to take all necessary steps to obtain it.

 

  • The Professional Premises Licence is issued only at the Municipality’s offices upon presentation of all the necessary certificates and payment of the imposed fee.

 

  • Failure to obtain the Professional Premises Licence constitutes a criminal offence, and the owner – manager of the professional premises will be prosecuted.

 

  • Those who did not receive invoices for the above taxes and fees are urged to contact the Municipality’s offices to settle their obligations.

 

  • Collection of the above taxes will take place until Thursday 29/12/2022 at the Municipality’s cash desks or through the website of the Municipality of Geroskipou and JCC Smart Payments (jccsmart.com). For invoices with a final payment date before 29 December 2022, the payment date is extended until 29/12/2022 with no surcharge. Cash desk hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00 a.m. – 1.30 p.m.

 

  • Invoices may also be paid in instalments, with a minimum payment of €50 each time and a final settlement date of 29/12/2022. Instalment payments can only be made at the Municipality’s cash desks.

 

  • Objections to the imposed taxes and fees must be submitted in writing to the Municipality’s Finance Department and must be accompanied by the necessary supporting documents. Objections that are not fully substantiated will not be accepted. The final date for submitting objections is Friday 16 December 2022.

 

 

  • The Municipality’s Finance Department will not serve the public and the cash desks will remain closed on Friday 30 December 2022 and Monday 2 January 2023 for the purposes of auditing and imposing surcharges. Amounts owed will be settled with a surcharge of 10% from Tuesday 03/01/2023.
