APPLICATION FOR THE GRANT OF A LICENCE TO SELL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES (RETAIL OR WHOLESALE) FOR THE YEAR 2026

(The Sale of Alcoholic Beverages Law, Cap. 144, section 3)

The Municipality of Geroskipou announces:

1. All holders of business premises (natural or legal persons) permitted to sell alcoholic beverages within the municipal boundaries of the Municipality of Geroskipou must submit an application to the competent Authority, namely the Municipality of Geroskipou, in order to obtain a licence to sell alcoholic beverages

(The Sale of Alcoholic Beverages Law, Cap. 144, section 3).

2. The relevant application form is available at the Citizen Service Office of the Municipality of Geroskipou and is also posted on the Municipality’s website https://ierokipia.org.cy/
3. For the application to be accepted, it must be accompanied by all the required Documents/Certificates:

• Original Criminal Record Certificate for the applicant (in the case of a legal person, a Certificate must be submitted for the person legally responsible and for the seller(s)).
• Original Certificate of accommodation classification (in the case of a hotel or other accommodation).
• Copy of the Certificate of Registration and Certificate of appointment of the person legally responsible (in the case of a legal person).
• Copy of the Building Permit.
• Copy of the Health Certificate from the Health Services of the Ministry of Health.

4. Applications must be completed appropriately and must contain, accurately, all the required information, supported by the necessary certificates or other documents.
5. In the event of failure to submit an application or of rejection of an application, the Municipality of Geroskipou will take all appropriate legal measures.
