The Municipality of Geroskipou invites the following tenders for the period up to the 31st of December 2025.

Tenders must be completed on the designated tender forms.

 

The forms are posted on the Municipality’s website. www.hierocepia.org.cy

Tenders must be submitted no later than 14.3.2025 at 12:00 p.m.

 

The criterion on which the Municipality will award the tender is exclusively the lowest price.

Participation of the Mayor of Geroskipou and the Deputy Mayor of Timi in the Meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Refugees

On Tuesday, 18 February, the Mayor of Geroskipou, Nikos Palios, and the Deputy Mayor of Timi, Giorgos Polykarpou, took part in the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Refugees.

During the meeting, the problems faced by the refugee population residing in Timi were presented to the members of the Committee, along with issues relating to the management of Turkish Cypriot properties in the area.

This participation aims to raise awareness of and resolve these matters, with the goal of improving the quality of life of the refugees and effectively managing the properties in the Timi area.

Tree Planting at the Morfou Street Park by the Municipality of Geroskipou and the 2nd Primary School of Geroskipou

The Municipality of Geroskipou, in cooperation with the Parents’ Association and the management of the 2nd Primary School of Geroskipou, successfully carried out a tree planting at the Morfou Street park on Monday, 17 February 2025. The activity was attended by pupils of the fifth and sixth grades, their teachers, members of the Parents’ Association, the Mayor of Geroskipou, Municipal Councillors, as well as officers and staff of the Municipality. During the event, 300 saplings were planted, while the children sang and chanted slogans in support of the environment

Road works in Geroskipou

 

Road works in Geroskipou – Announcement


The Municipality of Geroskipou announces that, following the consent of the Cyprus Police, from Monday 17/2/2025, at 6:00 a.m., until July 2025, there will be a diversion of vehicle traffic due to works for the reconstruction of Egnatias Avenue in Geroskipou and other adjoining roads, as part of the Neapolis project.

 

Specifically, the following are affected:

 

  • Egnatias Avenue to and from Evropis Avenue.
  • Egnatias Avenue to and from Anthypolochagou Georgiou Savva Street.
  • Egnatias Avenue towards Konstantinou Palaiologou Street.

 

Throughout the duration of the works, the smooth flow of all vehicles will be ensured via the remaining roads.


The Municipality of Geroskipou apologises for the unavoidable inconvenience that will be caused and calls on the public to show the necessary understanding and to comply with the temporary road signage and the instructions of the Police.

 

Tender notice for the conversion of the former Konia Cooperative Credit Society building into offices for the Konia Municipal District of the Municipality of Ierokipia

The Municipality of Ierokipia announces the launch of a tender for the conversion of the former Konia Cooperative Credit Society building, on Griva Digeni Street, into offices for the Konia Municipal District.

The building on Agiou Iakovou Street, which currently houses the municipal district offices, will be converted into a nursery and childcare centre. A tender for this project was launched at the end of last month.

Meeting on the problems observed in the Agia Varvara/Timi Industrial Area.

On Tuesday 4 February, on the initiative of the Municipality of Geroskipou, a meeting was held on the subject of the problems observed in the Agia Varvara/Timi Industrial Area.

The meeting was attended by Mayor Nikos Palios and the Deputy Mayor of Timi, Giorgos Polykarpou, municipal officials, the President of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry Giorgos Mais, and representatives of the Paphos EOA, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry, the Department of Agriculture, the Turkish Cypriot Properties Management Service and the Veterinary Services.

The Mayor of Geroskipou called on all the government departments and services involved to take on their responsibilities, as, he stressed, the illegal and uncontrolled livestock farming activity is causing serious problems for the operation of the Industrial Area, affecting the safe use of the road network and degrading the quality of life of the residents of Timi.

 

Tenders announced for three projects to be carried out by the Municipality of Geroskipou

Tenders for the execution of three projects by the Municipality of Geroskipou have been published on the electronic public procurement system (e-Procurement).

 

The first tender concerns the project “Osmotic and Improvement Works of the Core, the Square and Kato Vrysi in Geroskipou”. The project includes the improvement/reconstruction of a section of Konstantinou Palaiologou Street, approximately 620 metres long; sections of Evagora Pallikaridi, Afroditis, Agias Paraskevis and Agias Sofias streets, approximately 900 metres long; the connection of “Kato Vrysi” with the Linear Park of the Seven Agioi Georgioi; the upgrading of green spaces with large mature trees; the undergrounding of public utility services; the improvement of stormwater drainage; the enhancement of road lighting; horizontal and vertical signage; and more. The cost is estimated at €4,210,000 plus VAT and will be co-financed by the THALEIA 2021-2027 cohesion policy programme.

 

The second tender concerns the project “Childcare Centre for Children Aged 0-4 in the Municipal District of Konia”, which provides for a change of use of the building housing the municipal district offices into a nursery and childcare centre. The cost is estimated at €466,480, the majority of which will be covered by the Social Welfare Services, under the Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026.

 

The third tender concerns the restoration of the swimming pool at the Geroskipou Olympic Swimming Pool. The project includes the demolition and removal of all the metal walls of the pool and the construction of new concrete walls, restoration works to the perimeter of the pool (channel) as well as to the floor around it where standing water occurs, testing the watertightness of the pool once all construction works are completed and the installation of new liner-type materials, and various electromechanical works to restore and/or improve its operation. The cost is estimated at €360,000 plus VAT, and a large part of it will be covered by a grant from the Cyprus Sports Organisation (KOA).

1. The Municipality of Geroskipou invites tenders for the disposal of the motorcycle with registration number KML 791.
2. Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked «Tender for the disposal of the motorcycle with registration number KML 791» and placed in the Tender Box of the Municipality of Geroskipou (entrance of the Municipal Hall, Geroskipou Square, 8210, Paphos), no later than Monday 17 February 2025 at 13:00.
3. The successful tenderer shall be the tenderer who offers the highest price in comparison with the other tenderers.
4. The successful tenderer is obliged to collect the motorcycle within 10 days of the award of the tender and after paying the required tender amount at the Municipality’s cash desk.
5. Please note that any customs duty for the vehicle shall be paid by the successful tenderer.
