On 28 April 2025, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Geroskipou and the company Milliams Electrical Contractors Ltd for the supply and installation of coin meters on the showers at Geroskipou Municipal Beach.
The work is expected to be completed in around one month.
The Municipality of Ierokipia announces that all of its services will remain closed for the Easter holidays, from Good Friday 18 April to Easter Monday 21 April 2025.
On Easter Tuesday (21 April), the municipal services will operate with skeleton staff, while the Municipality’s Finance Department will remain closed.
The Municipal Library will remain closed until Wednesday 17 April.
The Refuse Collection Service will operate as normal.

Those interested in filling the 13 vacant permanent posts at the Municipality of Geroskipou must pay the participation fee of €35.00 including VAT per application, as follows:

The Municipality of Geroskipou has put together a rich and varied programme of events to celebrate Easter together with its residents, as well as the residents of the wider area.
The programme of events, which will begin on 18 April and conclude on 22 April, includes, among other things, music and dance performances, Easter games, sporting events, competitions, and games for children, always combined with the traditional Easter customs.
Events will take place in the municipal districts of Geroskipou, Konia and Timi.

On 3 April 2025, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Geroskipou and the company Fast Skip Ltd for the collection, transport, cleaning and disinfection of the portable metal waste compactors from hotel and other business units in the Municipality of Geroskipou.
The contract has a duration of two (2) years.
The agreement was co-signed by the Mayor of Geroskipou, Nikos Palios, and the company’s director, Stylianos Antoniou.
Signing of the agreement for the conversion of the former Konia Cooperative building
into Offices for the Konia Municipal District of the Municipality of Geroskipou
On 31 March 2025, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Geroskipou and the company Riginos Georgiou & Sons Construction Ltd for the conversion of the former Konia Cooperative building, on Griva Digeni Street, into Offices for the Konia Municipal District of the Municipality of Geroskipou.
The agreement was co-signed by the Mayor of Geroskipou, Nikos Palios, and the company’s director, Giorgos Georgiou, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor of Konia, Kyriakos Kyriakou.
The duration of the contract is eight (8) weeks from the project’s start date. The new offices of the Konia Municipal District are expected to become operational in June.
ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE WATER DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
ON THE EXECUTION OF WORKS IN GEROSKIPOU
The Water Development Department (WDD) is proceeding with the implementation of two projects in the coastal area of Geroskipou, with the aim of providing water for the irrigation of public and private green spaces along Theas Afroditis and Spyrou Kyprianou Avenues, as well as along Germaninas Street.
As part of this, pipe-laying works will be carried out from 2 April until 10 May 2025.
The WDD apologises for the disruption and assures the public that it will make every effort to keep the inconvenience to the minimum possible. To this end, it asks for the understanding of the public using the above roads and calls on them to comply with the instructions of the WDD officers and the Police.
