The CSO will cover the full cost of restoring the swimming pool at the Geroskipou Olympic Swimming Pool

The Municipality of Geroskipou is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors of the CSO decided at a recent meeting to cover in full the cost of restoring the swimming pool at the Tassos Papadopoulos Olympic Swimming Pool, a project which our municipal authority plans to undertake in the immediate future.

An earlier decision by the Organisation (2023) provided for a grant of €233,500, with an estimated cost of €350,000 plus VAT. Under the new decision, and following a new cost estimate, the CSO will cover the amount of €412,000 plus VAT, i.e. €490,280. The additional financial support, over and above the initial grant, amounts to approximately €257,000. Moreover, the CSO will reassess the grant for the project and its amount after receiving the tenders submitted in the public competition to be announced by the Municipality. At the same meeting, the revised tender documents were also approved.

The Municipality of Geroskipou expresses its warm thanks to the Chairman and the Members of the Board of Directors of the CSO for this decision, which represents an important step towards the reopening of the Geroskipou Olympic Swimming Pool.
