The “Ierokipeion Free University in Paphos”, jointly organised by the Municipality of Geroskipou, the University of Cyprus and Radio Paphos, is opening its doors for its 16^th series of lectures. A dynamic and engaging series of lectures invites Paphos residents of all ages to a fruitful dialogue on the pressing issues facing our society today.

The opening lecture will be given on Friday, 25 October 2019 at 7.00 p.m. in the Events Hall of the Geroskipou Multipurpose Centre by Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus, Mr Konstantinos Pitris, who will explore the topic “Implants of electronic systems and cells for ‘Precision Medicine’ against brain cancer”.

The lectures of the “Ierokipeion Free University” are open to the public and are broadcast live by Radio Paphos across Cyprus on 93.7 and recorded by the University of Cyprus radio station UCYvoice 95.2. Following the presentations, both the audience and the listeners of Radio Paphos across Cyprus can take an active part in the discussion that follows.
