Launch of the Geroskipou Municipal Children’s & Youth Choir
Dear parents,
The Municipality of Geroskipou announces that the Children’s & Youth Choir will begin this week, under the direction of choir director Isavella Christofidou. Choir lessons will be held every Wednesday and every Friday, in the Indoor Hall of the 2nd Primary School of Geroskipou.
Lessons will take place on the following days and times:
Wednesday 5.15 p.m. – 6.15 p.m.
and
Friday 4.30 p.m. – 5.30 p.m.
The first choir lesson will take place on Wednesday 17/10 and Friday 19/10. Each child may choose the day they prefer.
Children of primary school age (from Year 2) and secondary school age are eligible to take part in the Choir, regardless of where they live.

The Municipality of Geroskipou invites tenders for the supply of summer and winter uniforms for the needs of its staff for the period 2018-2019.
Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Mayor of Geroskipou, and placed in the Municipality’s tender box by Friday 19/10/2018 at 13:00. The envelope must bear the phrase “TENDER FOR WORK UNIFORMS”.
Interested parties may obtain the tender documents from the Geroskipou Municipal Hall.

On 27 September 2018, an agreement was signed between the Municipality of Geroskipou and the company CCSRE Real Estate Company Ltd for the purchase, by the municipal authority, of the building that houses the “Petrideio” Geroskipou Municipal Library.
Through this purchase, the Municipality tangibly expresses its intention to strengthen the Municipal Library and reinforce its presence within the local community.

Results of the written examination for filling the vacant permanent post of Municipal Secretary
1. The Municipality of Geroskipou, in accordance with the provisions of the Assessment of Candidates for Appointment to the Public Service Laws of 1998 to 2008, announces the results of the said written examination held on 01.09.2018, in order of the candidates’ success who sat it:
2. In accordance with the provisions of the Laws in question:
(a) “Successful candidate” means a person who takes part in the written examination and obtains an overall general average score of at least 50% and at least 40% in each of the subjects included in the examination.
(b) The three (3) top-ranked successful candidates will be called to the oral examination to be conducted as part of the procedure for filling the post. These candidates will be notified accordingly by personal letter.
