The Municipality of Geroskipou is conducting a tender by summary procedure, with the lowest price as the award criterion, for the annual maintenance of the mechanical installations and proper operation of the Geroskipou Olympic Swimming Pool and the fountain in Geroskipou Square. The tender is for a period of one year and may, at the absolute discretion of the Municipality of Geroskipou, be extended for one further year under the same terms.

Announcement on the scheduling of visual arts exhibitions at the APOTHIKI 2020 gallery

As part of its cultural activities, the Municipality of Geroskipou is accepting proposals from visual artists and/or organised cultural groups for the presentation of solo or group exhibitions at the Municipal gallery “i Apothiki”.

This call is addressed to all artists working in the field of the visual arts (painting, photography, sculpture, installations, video, etc.).

Documents required for submitting a proposal:

-description of the exhibition / concept

-artist’s / artists’ CV

-previous activities (in the case of a group or association)

-Samples of works in JPEG or PDF format

-preferred month for holding the exhibition.

The gallery space will be provided free of charge by the Municipality of Geroskipou for the selected exhibitions. The Municipality will also organise the opening of each exhibition, offer technical assistance to the artists and carry out the relevant advertising.

Deadline for expressions of interest: 29/02/2020.

The “Petrideios” Municipal Library will remain closed from Tuesday 07/01/2020 until midday on Friday 10/01/2020. Members who wish to be served during these days are therefore kindly requested to contact the Registry or the Cultural Service of the Municipality of Geroskipou, within the Municipal Hall.

On 20/12/2019, the Municipality of Geroskipou signed the contract with the company SM & S BUILD OPTIONS LTD, to which the Municipality of Geroskipou’s tender No. 19/2019 for the Construction of a Regional Medical Centre in Geroskipou was awarded, for the amount of €1,796.544 plus VAT.

The Medical Centre will bear the name Christoforos Neofytou Ch. Lampri in recognition of the donation of this property.

The Municipality of Geroskipou announces that its Services will remain closed on Tuesday 31 December 2019 (New Year’s Eve), on New Year’s Day, and on Monday 6 January 2020, the feast of Epiphany.

The waste collection service will operate as normal on Tuesday 31 December 2019.

The Municipality of Geroskipou informs its residents that the refuse collection crews will not be working on Wednesday, 25 December 2019 (Christmas Day) and, therefore, refuse collection will take place on Tuesday, 24 December 2019.
