Did you know that… Geroskipou loukoumi is much more than a sweet?

Discover little secrets and great truths about the most authentic traditional Cypriot product at the Geroskipou Loukoumi Festival, organised by the Aphrodite Folklore Society on the two days of 26 and 28 September, in Geroskipou Square.

Friday 26/9, 9-13:00: Pupils from all the schools of Geroskipou create a sweet mosaic in Geroskipou Square

Sunday 28/9, 16:00-0:00 in Geroskipou Square, a celebration of Loukoumi

There you will learn all the secrets of loukoumi, enjoy coffee brewed over embers and loukoumia at their very best. The programme will also include traditional dances & music, tastings, workshops for young and old, exhibitions & cultural activities.

What is more, it has been listed in the National Inventory of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2023!

Because if Geroskipou does not celebrate Loukoumi… then who will?
