On Sunday 04 August, the Municipality of Eastern Paphos honoured the memory of the heroes of Geroskipou: Christos Konstantinidis, Petros Efstathiou, Giannakis P. Taliotis, Antonis Antoniou and Michalis Chr. Kyprianou.
At their annual memorial service, held at the Church of Agia Paraskevi, the memorial address was delivered by Dr Nikodimos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.
This was followed by the laying of wreaths at the War Memorial in Geroskipou Square and a memorial road race in their honour, held in cooperation with the “Periklis Dimitriou” runners’ association.
