The Municipality of Geroskipou calls on the residents of Geroskipou to attend the protest event organised by the Paphos District Committee of AKEL this coming Saturday 14/9 at 10.00 a.m., near the chapel of Agios Nikolaos (Geroskipou coastal area), with the aim of preserving the important finds recently brought to light.

We recall that the Geroskipou Municipal Council, in view of the great archaeological and historical value of the finds (a large Sanctuary complex of the Hellenistic period, with cisterns and hydraulic installations indicating the existence of a grove and gardens in connection with the cults on the site), decided at its meeting of 23/7/19 to demand the continuation of the excavations with the aim of the full unearthing of the monument, its preservation and, ultimately, its promotion.

The Municipality of Geroskipou makes it clear that it will support every effort, from whatever source, directed towards the preservation of ancient Ierokipia.
