Easing of the Measures to Address the Pandemic – Announcement by the Municipality of Geroskipou

Announcement

Following the easing of the measures announced by the Government in relation to
addressing the pandemic, we wish to inform the residents of Geroskipou that from
today, 4/5, the following apply:

1) External visits to the Geroskipou Town Hall are permitted by
appointment, with strict application of the guidelines regarding entry to
enclosed spaces (use of a mask, use of hand sanitiser). However, no
more than two people may enter the Town Hall at the same time.

2) The public is encouraged to visit the Town Hall only for urgent
matters. For routine matters, the public is asked to contact the
telephone numbers 26 962 324 and 26 960 810.

3) The Municipality’s cash desks will be open, with strict application of the guideline for the
measure concerning the presence at any given time in the same space of a number
of people, including staff, that does not exceed
one person per 8 sq.m. of usable space. Consequently, at any given time only
one person will be in front of the Municipality’s cash desks. If more people are
present at the same time, they will wait outside the building,
observing the two-metre distancing measure. It is noted that payments
can be made online, through the Municipality’s website and the
website www.jccsmart.com

4) The suspension of the operation of the Multipurpose
Children’s Service Centre, the Adult Centre, the Municipal
Prevention Team (D.O.P.), the “Petrideio” Municipal Library, the Michalis Chr. Kyprianou Municipal
Stadium, the Tasos Papadopoulos
Olympic Swimming Pool and the “Ch. Zoppos” Open-Air Sports Ground remains in force.

5) The “Iris” Counselling Centre is available to the public by
appointment (99 233 222).

6) No cultural or other events are held, and civil weddings are not conducted.

7) The use of pedestrian walkways and cycle paths is permitted under the terms of use
that were announced.

The measures may be adjusted depending on developments and/or the guidelines that
will be given from time to time by the state.

The Municipality of Geroskipou asks for the understanding of residents regarding the measures it is obliged
to take due to the state of emergency in which our country finds itself.

We urge our fellow residents to show patience and to take the preventive
measures that have been announced for the protection of themselves and their
families.
