The Municipality of Geroskipou’s preparations for organising the “Ierokipia” cultural events, held this year for the 25^th consecutive year, are reaching their peak.

The events, which coincide with the celebrations marking 25 years since the establishment of the Municipality of Geroskipou, will take place from 6 to 27 September and will cover a broad range of the public’s cultural and artistic interests.

The opening of the events, which will take place this coming Friday, 6 September at 8.00 p.m. in Geroskipou Square, will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Nikos Christodoulides, who will deliver an address and under whose auspices this year’s events are held.

Delegations from three foreign municipalities (Agia Paraskevi, Kharkiv and Saint-Brieuc) will also be present at the opening of the “Ierokipia”.

As part of the events’ Opening Ceremony, the Municipality of Geroskipou will present the popular Cypriot singer Michalis Hatzigiannis in a surprise concert, a hymn to romance and love. He will be joined by Cypriot singer Katerina Paraschou and an 8-member orchestra, under the direction of Admitos Pitsillidis.

Admission to the event is free.
