The Municipality of Eastern Paphos, the Church of Agia Paraskevi and the families of the heroes Christos Konstantinidis, Yiannakis P. Taliotis, Antonis Antoniou and Michalis Chr. Kyprianou will hold their annual National and Religious Memorial Service on Sunday 04 August at 08:30 at the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi in Geroskipou.

Chr. Konstantinidis fell in the Asia Minor Campaign in 1920.

Yiannakis P. Taliotis fell in the Battle of Tillyria in 1964.

Antonis Antoniou and Michalakis Kyprianou fell in the battles to repel the Turkish invaders in August 1974.

The memorial address will be delivered by Dr Nikodimos Damianou, Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.

A laying of wreaths at the Heroes’ Monument in Geroskipou Square will follow.

As part of the memorial service, a road race will be organised in honour of the heroes.
